Travel Management

Impossible travel demands?
Bring it on.
A large percentage of our air charter business comes from the thousands of travel agencies across the United States. We are very attuned to the unique challenges that are presented to the in-house agent or travel manager. Complex itineraries and seemingly impossible schedules that change by the minute are the order of the day and Fargo Jet Center is ready to help you pull it all together.
Our charter representatives are trained to assist travel professionals by recommending the right private aircraft based on trip requirements, helping with ground arrangements, faxing trip quotes, faxing confirmations immediately upon request, and calling with landing information on every leg of the trip. This emphasis on communication before, during and after a charter trip not only prevents embarrassing and costly errors but keeps you, the travel manager, right on top of the trip.
The Last-Minute Business Dilemma
(just ficticious - this would never happen to you, right?)
What happens when two Fargo-based business executives find out at 4:30 p.m. that they need to be in Rockford, IL, the next day, at noon for a lunch meeting where they will give a business presentation?
Check out what happens when they fly with the commercial airlines.
Then, see what happens when they fly with Fargo Jet Center’s Charter Department.

- The secretary for the business executives books two, coach-class tickets at 5:00pm (that's all that's available this late in the day) and she finds out that they aren't able to sit together.
- They also aren't able to fly direct to Rockford (RFD) from Fargo (FAR), so they fly from Fargo to Minneapolis (MSP), then from MSP to Chicago (CHI). There, they will have to rent a vehicle and drive the remaining 75 miles to the airport in Rockford to give their presentation.
- Faced with the prospect of long check-in and security lines, they wake up at 3:15am and are out the door by 4:00am.
- They park in a short-term parking lot and need to hustle so that they will have plenty of time to check-in, go through security (empty their pockets, remove their belts, take off their shoes, etc. and redress) and board the plane before 5:00am.
- When they finally board, they squeeze into narrow seats on a small, commuter plane -- a partner of the major airline.
- They land at MSP on time, but the morning lay-over lasts closer to 3 hours. They try to discuss the meeting, but they are tired and the terminal is noisy. Then they depart for CHI.
- Landing at CHI a little late, they literally run through the terminal and take an airport bus to the car rental parking lot where they pick-up their rental car.
- They leave Chicago shortly after 10:30am and drive to Rockford, getting to the conference room right at Noon.
- Needless to say, they arrive exhausted and stressed, and with no time to freshen up or set-up for the presentation, their presentation falls flat and they fail to win the new business account.
- Dejected, they head back to the airport in Chicago, wait while their return flight is delayed, and finally make it back to Fargo and home after 9:00pm.

- Within a matter of minutes, using FJC's web-based reservation page, the secretary requests a trip quote. The Sales Team is confirmed for a flight by the FJC Charter Department the following morning by email.
- Up at 8:00am, they make a short, easy drive to Fargo Jet Center, where they park their vehicles (free) and take a short walk into the newly remodeled Passenger Terminal.
- The Jet Center pilots greet the Sales Team at the door, the Sales Team grabs a fresh cup of Starbuck's coffee, a couple of fresh-baked muffins (still warm), and an apple. They load up and take off early. For the duration of their short flight, the Sales Team strategizes for their meeting in a sleek, comfortable, quiet, and accomodating cabin.
- Landing at the convenient Rockford Airport (RFD), they park just in front of the Emery Air FBO. They have arrived early for the meeting, so they freshen up and set up their laptop for the presentation in the FBO's Conference Room.
- Wowing their prospective clients with their high-energy, preparedness, and travel sense, they win the account.
- The meeting wraps up ahead of schedule and they call their pilots for an early departure. It's wheels up 15 minutes later. Back in Fargo, they make it home for dinner -- just like any ordinary day at the office.
